There are a few Jesus jokes and such that might not fly with some, but this is otherwise a family-friendly effort with no profanity. It's also Gaffigan in top form, remaining laugh-out-loud funny the whole way through. blue highlight denotes track pick

The first is a must see but this one is just plain funny. Still recommended for those who haven't seen the first. Jim Gaffigan: King Baby Quotes Movie & TV guides

Least as pale as that CD where he looks like a pedophile"). The track "Inside Voice" is named after the comedian's signature falsetto alter-ego voice, a device that's used sparingly and purposefully here, completely taking the "it's a crutch" argument off the table. With less of it, there are fewer cheap laughs, allowing Gaffigan to build momentum as he heralds bowling ("The activity you do after you've done everything else"), hammocks ("nets for catching lazy people"), and Waffle House ("I love Waffle House, and not just because watching someone fry an egg while they're smoking reminds me of my dad"). The bit on bologna and it's spelling vs. pronunciation -- decided by the man responsible for "colonel" -- is especially funny, but it's the epic riffing on bacon that becomes the set's centerpiece and somewhat of a sequel to Beyond the Pale 's big comedy hit "Hot Pockets. Synopsis The greatly anticipated follow up to the platinum selling Beyond the Pale. In this Austin performance that capped off the 2008 sold-out stand up tour, Gaffigan does not let the audience catch their breath. This all-new show proves no other comedian working today can romanticize laziness and over-indulgence like Jim Gaffigan. Cast Crew Details Genre Studio Country Language Alternative Title Jim Gaffigan King Baby Popular reviews More "Of course we'd love our son to see those shelves" -apostle Lots of bacon jokes. Lots of Dad jokes. Lots of religion jokes. Lots of jokes about ketchup. He is not my favorite comedian but I think Jim Gaffigan is consistent and every once in a while I feel like his type of comedy. This one is pretty good but not my favorite. Probably about half of King Baby is centered on jokes about bacon. Jim Gaffigan almost always talks about food it seems, but in King Baby he really narrows it down to just talking about bacon. But it works for like 75% of the jokes about bacon.

Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2014 Verified Purchase Gaffigan has his moments when he elicits a giggle or a laugh from me but at other times I wish he'd forgo overuse of his whispery voice. I know it's part of his trademark, but it does start to grate on the nerves after a while. I will say that I appreciate that I can watch it without cringing every few minutes over excessive foul language or ridiculously crude comments. I will continue to watch his routines because despite his slight annoyances he is one of the few comedians that can make me laugh. Him and Brian Regan. Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2013 Verified Purchase I love Jim Gaffigan and think his routine is right on. He's funny without being vulgar and offensive. I think the dvd cost about $10+/- which seems a little pricey since you're not getting a whole lot but about a 1-hour act. There are plenty of bonus features but they didn't seem too interesting. I got all 3 of his dvds and I recommend watching them in order since he gets funnier with time.
Something went wrong, but don't fret — let's give it another shot.
